Who we are

In New Mexico, thousands of people go without the dental care they need. Whether it’s because of cost, lack of transportation, limited insurance acceptance, or fear of the dental office, too many New Mexicans only see a dentist when the pain becomes unbearable. By then, it’s often too late.

Research shows that young adults in New Mexico are losing their teeth prematurely, not because of unavoidable disease, but because of barriers that could have been prevented with earlier care and education. Seniors, especially those in rural areas, face added challenges — with many unable to travel for appointments or find a provider who accepts Medicare or Medicaid.

That’s where we come in.

Our Mission is to make dental care more accessible for every New Mexican.
We provide teledentistry services for:

  • People living in rural areas

  • Patients with transportation issues

  • Those who fear or avoid traditional dental offices

  • Medicaid and Medicare recipients who struggle to find providers

  • People without insurance who still deserve guidance and care

We also partner with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) so that even uninsured patients can receive professional care and instruction at the lowest possible cost.

Teledentistry New Mexico is an initiative of the nonprofit New Mexico Oral Health Access Network (nmoralhealth.org), a 501(c)(3) dedicated to improving oral health access and education across our state.

Together, we are building a future where no one in New Mexico has to suffer in silence because they couldn’t reach a dentist.
